Programs for
Children and Youth
Sunday School
Helping children grow in the faith is one of
our priorities at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. We offer
programs for Christian education, faith formation, and
fellowship.
Our Sunday
School program for children
age 3 through grade 6, begins at 9:30
each Sunday
morning during the months
of September through mid-June. We use
the Rotation Workshop Model for our Sunday School curriculum.
This program guides the children through several learning
stations such as Story Time, Art, Cooking, Science, Drama, and
Music. Our creative team of teachers help the children explore
Bible stories from the inside out!
First Holy Communion
Students who have completed fourth grade are offered instruction to prepare them to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
First Holy Communion instruction begins
in October and consists
of three Saturday morning classes. The children then receive First Holy Communion on Reformation
Sunday. Check the calendar for
specific dates and times.
Confirmation Program
Students who have completed sixth grade
are eligible to begin
the Lutheran Church of Our Savior confirmation program.
This class meets three Tuesday evenings per month during the
school year. Twice a month for lessons on bible and church
teachings and once a month for various social events and service
activities.
Confirmation classes begin in October with a meeting of parents and students with the Pastor and Parish Education volunteers to review the requirements. Watch the calendar or call the church office for dates and times.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer we offer a Vacation Bible School program. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 are welcome to attend. We have lots of fun sharing God’s love with everyone!
